I am very happy with this chair! I've had two major back surgeries and am on the waiting list for a third. I am an artist and it was very difficult for me to sit in my previous chair at my art table for more than an hour. This chair changed everything! The seat cushion area is very comfortable, as is the adjustable armrest. Due to back problems I added two lumbar pillows as you can see in the two photos attached. I put one high and one low. This brings me closer to the 90 degree stand-up position and this is the only way I can sit without back pain. I have the same setup in my office chair and car seat. Of course, the addition of lumbar cushions is in no way a direct reflection of the already comfortable nature of these chairs. Without any extras it would definitely be comfortable. I'm a special case with pre-existing conditions. Those of you with back problems already know how important it is to find a comfortable seat that doesn't further fatigue your back. In my search for a new chair, what I needed most was 1). Must be well built, 2). Should be comfortable for a long time and finally 3). Should have enough height adjustment for my tall art desk. This chair ticked all of these boxes and I couldn't be happier! If you have back problems, then this chair is for you! I hope this review helps someone. :)
