After about 4 hours of shooting I decided everything was fired. Ordered one from keyestudio for a few bucks less and it worked with no issues. A lot of people say this is a great board. My review is definitely an exception. When I think about wasting 4 hours trying to get a buggy $13 board to work, that's just a huge loss! The following must be observed. without trying to mislead anyone. The symptom of the broken board was that I had no TX data, only RX, the switch. Troubleshooting led me to someone saying that the ethernet components (resistors) on the board were the wrong value - about 510 ohms vs 51 ohms. This board actually has a "standard three digit mark" on the resistor block that sits next to the eth RJ45 511 (aka 510 ohm) connector. The board that works was marked 510 (51 ohms). Yes, it's a bit confusing. and I suspect this difference is due to human error and took me 4 hours. I hope no one else has to deal with this and the Board maintains its good reputation.
