This is a comparison test of these diapers and the original Mama Bear diapers. The Gentle Touch is longer and narrower, more comparable in size to Pampers, and the originals are more comparable in size to Huggies. The Gentle Touch is noticeably thinner and feels cheaper/thinner, but still soft. The waistband of the Gentle Touch is also thinner and narrower, as are the leg ends. And although they do have a urine indicator, the dye used is of a lower quality and will stain the entire area of the diaper blue, not just the strip. I would say that Gentle Touch is most similar to the Target Up & Up brand where I would compare the Original Mama Bear to the Honest brand. I had much higher hopes for them as they were "softer" and more resilient, but unfortunately the quality just isn't there. That said, I haven't had any leaks or rashes, so by and large they do what they're designed for, although I'll stick with the original Mama Bear diapers, especially since the originals are only $7 more.
