movement was a perfect replacement. First I made a mistake and ordered a replacement without the pendulum. I found out before it was sent but too late to stop it (so I have to return it). My only problem was having a hard time removing the old one. With my husband's help, we pulled it out. The direction for the new was clear. After I installed the replacement, it worked. My pendulum swings too. I will enjoy my wall clock again, which is probably at least 30 years old. I have many watches so if I ever have a problem I will buy them again. I must have saved a big bill at the watch store.
