I have made every effort to obtain reasonable support from Moto for this product. I practically threw it in the trash. The final answer was that the device was damaged and water damaged. Please note that this device comes with an exposed headphone jack with no protection. Although I ordered and used a separate plug immediately after purchase, according to Motorola, this device still had moisture damage. I have never run this unit in the rain, just cleaned it like ANYONE with a sweaty, dirty unit would. damp cloth and then dry. So if you sweat, don't walk in the rain, but wipe your devices with a wet rag or towel, you end up with a product that no longer works. Motorola support is terrible. The return process didn't even clearly state why the device had failed, it actually referred to a phone fault. I had to escalate the return of the device to second tier support who called me back five days later and left a message saying the device was damaged by me and it was my fault. You wouldn't do anything else. I have used Suunto, Polar, Garmin and now Moto. I will NEVER buy a moto fitness product again. I spent nearly $300 on a device and accessories that were clearly poorly designed. Motorola is not in the fitness business. Stick to your Garmin, Polar and Suunto devices and carry an MP3 player with you. Motoactv is nonsense. Visit the Moto forums and you will see similar complaints from other people about the same issue. otherwise it's just useless music and fitness software. I bought it because the concept of bringing music and fitness together in one device and including social media is GREAT. By the way, I won't go into all the details. Problems with the web portal, training errors, problems with the battery life in general and the general technical malfunction of the device. If you are considering a device, you should stop now as normal day to day use will cause the device to stop working and this will be seen as YOUR fault. Software bugs are tolerable as long as the company is actively releasing firmware to fix them.
