Review on Adjustable Measuring Spoon Cooking Baking by Billy Balwin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not exactly as described

I love the idea of an adjustable drying paddle so I don't have to constantly switch to 3 or 4 different paddles. However, I don't think you can downsize and throw away other shovels. How would you measure liquids? This spoon is made of plastic and has six prongs (not nine as advertised). The counters are designed to measure 1/2 TL, 1 TL, 1 1/2 TL, 2 TL, 2 1/2 TL. and 1 tbsp. l. I would love if they added 1/4 teaspoon. Also. To change to a different size, all you have to do is turn the bottom of the spoon and the guide will slide smoothly until it reaches the desired point. Then it snaps into place. The only problem is that it's very difficult to read the measurements on the bottom of the spoon. They are lightly engraved on the plastic. No, they won't be "wiped off" but you will hardly see them. I had to put on reading glasses and then use a magnifying glass. Once you've placed an ingredient in its appropriate rack, you'll need to use the back of a butter knife or whatever to align the ingredient. The product description also states that thick liquids can be poured into this spoon, but it will be a mess. I tried pouring honey into a spoon but it leaked under the guide and flowed into the next stand. I would recommend using this for dry ingredients only. This product is dishwasher safe, although I would only hand wash it so it's always available. I would definitely recommend this adjustable spoon. It can be a very useful item. I think most people who love to cook or bake will enjoy this. It seems well made and durable. I would give this item 4 stars.
