I have a WINIX 5300-2 air filter and was looking for a good carbon panel replacement. These filters are made for the Honeywell HPA300, which is a bit taller and wider, but with a little trimming you can fit them on WINIX with no gaps, which isn't even the case with the OEM filters that come with them. .I tried 4 different activated carbon sheets which I rank in this order: #1 OEM activated carbon filters from WINIX are by far the best I have ever used, but they cost $50 for 4 sheets! They are carbon loaded and I wish I could find something of the same high quality at a lower price. #2 Altec Filters 6 Activated Carbon Pre-Filter Compatible with HPA300 Air Purifier HW HRF-AP1 Filter A quality replacement pre-filter They're pretty decent and you get 6 filters for $20 which is a great deal. Some of them had some grass and a brown spot on one, but they have no smell. #3 These filters (breathe naturally - HPA300 premium pre-cut carbon pre-filter replacement for Honeywell HPA300) They're acceptable, but you only get 4 for $20. Nispira #4 Replacement Activated Carbon Pre-Filter Compatible with Winix Odor Control Part 115115, Size 21, 4 Blades. These are the cheapest, 4 pack for $15, but not worth the money. They are low in carbon and have a chemical odor.
