Review on πŸ”— CURT 80136 43-7/8-Inch Vinyl-Coated Trailer Safety Cables with 3/8-Inch Snap Hooks - 2-Pack, 3,500 lbs Break Strength by Andrew Lyons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Stronger than I need, but I can handle it!

I used quick disconnects on each of the closed ends to attach the cables to the trailer. If you're going to use bolts and washers, you need to plan accordingly. These cables are rated more than double the chains I originally planned to use on my utility trailer. I don't mind doubling my redundancy when it comes to security. I also really like that they don't hang as far as the chains. They are less likely to drag across the floor as they are held in place by their own coils. The rollers also let the cables play when I turn a corner. The nylon sheathing of the cable not only protects the metal cable from the weather, but also minimizes cable abrasion on trailer parts etc. when towing. Recipient. Since my trailer will probably never carry more than 1,000 pounds, these cables give me a lot of peace of mind.
