Review on Bilstein 24-187237 Rear Shock: Premium Replacement for GM Tahoe/Avalanche/Silver Models by Danny Robertson

They replaced the stock shocks on my 2004 Suburban and what else can I say other than they're Bilsteins - and they work fine. I believe the hype, the 5100 is a good upgrade for mixed on and off road use. I don't ride seriously off-road, but I do enjoy riding forest trails to get to remote campsites, and they're good for that. Recommended as an upgrade when it's time to replace your stock shocks. The stock shocks on a 2004 Suburban aren't that bad, and I was able to get 50,000 before they had to be replaced, but of course your mileage (literally) can vary. Some people replace their serial shocks right away, which I can understand, often the serial shocks are rubbish. Vehicle. Some Suburbans have Nivomat rear shocks (expensive, harder to find and replace), and some have automatic air shocks all round—and in either case, stock aftermarket shocks won't work. My Suburban had a "Premium Smooth Ride" package with stock Delco monotubes all round, so those stock Bilsteins worked. Thank you for reading.
