We use this long leash to train our strong and energetic pup at the park as we don't trust him yet. Rope. Anyone who intends to use it for the same purpose should exercise extreme caution as it can easily become tangled in the leash, resulting in trips, falls and rope burns. (This is not the fault of the product, just a risk.) The problem we encountered is that our dog was getting excited at the park yesterday and suddenly approached another dog who wanted to play and the metal hook that attached to the dog's harness is broken. It appears to be a strong attachment but broke under tension. Luckily we managed to grab our dog and she wasn't hurt. But now we have a useless leash and worry about replacing it if it happens again.
