I love this item! After about 10 days of use, our mosquito problem is as good as solved. As you can see from the photo, one of the 4 devices killed at least 3 dozen mosquitoes. (Note that some dead mosquitoes fall on the ground and don't get into the unit and therefore kill even more than what is shown in the photo.) This unit is in a room with 6-7 big houseplants that have mosquitos in the ground breed. The other 3 are in adjoining rooms (no plants) and while they didn't kill as many mosquitoes as this one, they all killed a lot of small bugs. It connects easily, makes no sound and only emits a soft blue brightness when the night light is on – and now there are just a few stray mosquitoes flying around the house, mostly around our computer screens. Please note that these devices ONLY WORK AT NIGHT when their soft light attracts mosquitoes. They don't kill insects during the day and you can turn them off. So if you have lights that work at night, like street lights, computer screens, night lights, etc., then they can't do their job. I suspect some users don't make them work because there are other lights that attract bugs at night. Even a very small amount of other light renders these devices ineffective. I can't say anything about the effectiveness against mosquitoes because we don't have them in the house. But I hereby declare VICTORY OVER THE RELIABLE CO-BRANDS!
