I bought two of these when I had some Joy Cons for the family and wanted some extra cheap Joy Grips. They work very well for $10. It's the same basic skin as the original grip that came with the console, but I actually like them better. The grips themselves have a more ergonomic feel and curve more naturally to fit players' hands. I actually took photos to compare the original to this product which can be seen on the left of both photos. The first few times holding the controllers in one of the knobs was a bit tricky and there was a point where I was nervous that it might be broken, but once he found the track everything was fine and it came back easily so maybe it was just difficult since it was brand new. Green player number indicators work fine, easily synced, no problems with it. . The materials also seem very strong and I didn't have to worry about them being brittle or fragile. My eight year old even dropped one on concrete and it worked great, even with room for a controller so that's a plus for durability. In general I am very happy with them. They make a big difference in price.
