I bought this to integrate with the Maestro SW module to get steering wheel control. The pink wire is used to send button signals to the main unit and the brown wire is used for muting. Both wires in this adapter are not working. There are actually two factory wiring harnesses, a 17-pin (larger) and a 20-pin (smaller). This Schoche wiring harness is an adapter for a 17-pin wiring harness. The pink and brown wires used to control the steering wheel are actually on a smaller 20 pin harness. It took me a few days and a call to iDataLink tech support to figure this out. I ended up using Scotchlok to make a direct connection to these wires.
