I bought this because (like many others) I work from home. I had to somehow easily connect my work laptop (MacBook Pro) to the monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. that I use for my personal setup (PC desktop). This docking station fully meets all requirements. Now all I have to do is swap a USB-C cable from Mac to PC and all my devices will work. I can also use the laptop screen and HDMI monitor at the same time with the extended desktop. 4 USB ports on the back (2x USB2, 2x USB3) allow connection of keyboard, mouse, webcam and Wacom tablet. The two front USB ports (USB 2) fit my wireless headset and USB stick. As a bonus, they keep my cords from getting tangled up in a giant mess.
