I've always wanted a Hudson's Bay blanket and here it is. love love love love.
I've wanted one since I was a child. So I finally got one for our country house in the mountains and it's great. I love it on cold winter evenings. It's thick, warm, awesome and really not that scratchy. I found a wonderful 18th century photo of a native Indian (the Chelan tribe, if you're interested) using his blanket as a raincoat, blew it open, framed it, and hung it on the wall by the bed. My duvet is currently hidden for the summer and I miss it. I would have left it on the edge of the bed if it wasn't for the moths. Maybe I'll crochet an Afghan version for the summer. Oh! A great idea! A trip to the yarn shop!
