I bought 2 of these fittings to connect an iSpring WSP-100 spin down filter to my 1" PEX tubing. Not sure if it's the fittings or the filter but I can't get them to leak. I used 4 layers of water tape and some thick pipe grout and tightened the fittings until they fell off and both ends stand still slowly It looks like the filter or those fittings don't have enough taper They both may be within manufacturers tolerances but both have one low taper of that tolerance, which means I have a problem.
