If you want to increase the range of your car modem DO NOT BUY THIS! I'm sure it's great if you're in the city center surrounded by cell phone towers. I tried this on my RV instead of a large multiband antenna. I was expecting a performance hit, but the difference was amazing. Using a signal generator and a spectrum analyzer, I checked the field strength both on this antenna and on the so-called multiband antennas with 6 dB and 10 dB gain. I work in the wireless industry and the antennas advertised as 10dB gain don't really work. However, I can confirm that the difference between this antenna and the larger one is 10dB. So if you want the maximum range of a 4G modem for your car or RV, buy one of the larger antennas, not this one.
