Mixed feelings. best in sports and outdoor games

I love the concept and intentions. My 4 year old loves building forts. He mostly uses sofa cushions and/or old cardboard boxes that make our living room look like a garbage dump. We also like to sit on the couch. In order to meet his needs and to keep a certain amount of order in the living room, we have therefore decided on this set. This is almost normal, but there are some downsides. I'll start with the instructions. Although they clearly state that the top and bottom of each ball is marked with an "X", believe me there is no "X". What they actually have to say is that these areas are marked with a flatter surface and not an "X", so don't waste your time searching. Once assembled, the structure is strong enough to withstand a few sheets thrown over it that will get the job done. In that sense, once built, it's beautiful. However, assembly and disassembly are difficult. Usually the green balls either fit snugly or too loosely on the rod supports - it's really a lottery with no consistency. Loose means that any movement will cause them to come loose. The opposite is true for blue balls; They either fit perfectly, or the post has difficulty fitting into the hole that is clearly too small. Therefore, both assembly and disassembly is a struggle. Perhaps more importantly, there is an ongoing thread on this issue that has historically been traced back to Revain reviews. Which basically means the issue hasn't been resolved, so the provider just doesn't care; and that is not good. So it's up to you. I can do this work for my 4 year old but it is not without problems. Hope that helps.
