Before I discovered this stand my vacuum was wall mounted in a pantry between a light switch and a plastic bag. To turn the light on and off, all you had to do was reach somewhere behind the Dyson handheld vacuum and over the bin liners. I never liked having it there for obvious reasons, but I didn't have another place to install it. The only other place I could think of was the dirty space next to the spare fridge, but there really wasn't a good wall space as the security system panel took up that space. Then I discovered this and it works pretty well as you can see in the picture. Please ignore my mess on the fridge, this is a replacement and the main fridge is intact. Either way as you can see from the picture this is a solid piece that fits my Dyson V8 cordless vacuum like they belong together. It has two sets of holes so I'm guessing it will fit most models and maybe even other models in the same style. It has four accessory compartments, although I have about eight, so my specialty accessories are in a drawer above the fridge. I don't get to them often so it's ok, just glad I have a good place to keep them. I've been known to lose her and it's driving my husband crazy so hopefully this will help with this issue. This product was very easy to assemble and the metal is thick and strong. It's self-supporting, so you could theoretically hang it in the middle of a room without it being attached to a wall, and it would be stored just fine except you'd have to plug it in, which usually requires a wall. This is a great product and idea that I absolutely recommend!
