Review on 🍢 Artisan 2-Quart Stainless Steel Serving Pitcher: Elegantly Textured with Hammered Finish by Stephen Parkell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's pouring well and good, but now there are signs of rust.

I paid about $21 for this jug and am very happy with my purchase. As far as I can see there are no seams, and the magnet doesn't stick to it - meaning it's most likely stainless steel (as advertised). Yes, I'm one of those weird people who checks these things because companies have been sending me things made out of a different material than advertised. I was concerned that the wide opening would cause it to pour in a wide stream and prevent some of the liquid from getting into the glass, but I'm happy to report that it pours very well - without me have to lift the jug high into the jug of air. I don't see any sweat marks anywhere except on the handles on the outside of the pot. There are no metal burrs or manufacturing defects that leave sharp bits on the metal. I hope it's stainless steel that it doesn't rust, but time will tell. It doesn't have a lid or cap but I knew that before I bought it - just thought I'd show someone in the hopes it did. We use it to fill our Berkey water purifier and it looks great next to the Berkey as both are stainless steel. Very happy with the purchase. Update: We have been using this jug daily for a little over a month and now there are 2 tiny spots of rust on the bottom inside. I paid just under $22 and the return period has expired. I noticed that the price is significantly higher (today) so I thought maybe I should point out the rusting issue to potential buyers so they don't lose money. I hope the little rust spots on mine don't get bigger, but I'm afraid they will. As beautiful as this jug is, I certainly wouldn't pay more than what I paid, rusty or not. I'm afraid I paid too much with rust so I'm lowering the stars from 5 to 3.
