At first I was hesitant to buy a plastic juicer. The glass ones seemed much easier to clean, stronger, more hygienic and easier to use. These assumptions were completely wrong. My wife later pointed out to me that this option works better because the plastic edges on the dome are sharper, and when the fruit is turned over, the sharp edges actually push out the fruit's cells, allowing the juice to be released. For safety reasons, the tabs on glass and other plastic models are rounded and do not have a cotton effect. Second, the dome and screen at the bottom are very close to the base, which is made of very high-quality plastic. It even has a rubber ring at the bottom to keep the juicer from spinning when you're squeezing fruit. Don't worry if you think it's going to break. I'm pretty strong (and decently heavy) and the product doesn't wobble even when I'm leaning on it with all my weight. Just to try this out, I took a lime that I had already used another juicing tool on and used this juicer to see what else I could get out. It's gotten better than the original. This one seems to be designed much better. I know it's pretty silly to think about a juicer that costs less than $10, but I cook with citrus a lot and it's made my life so much easier. Get one and you won't be disappointed.
