Used for Yaesu FTM-400xdr which claims to have a 12 watt 4 ohm speaker but I connected this 8 ohm speaker anyway and You know the sound quality is pretty decent for the price! You can use a slightly higher volume if the truck is noisy and you have hearing issues like me, but here's another benefit to compensate for the fact that these speakers are slightly less powerful than the official Yaesu speaker for FTM: this device is much smaller and less likely to bother your arms, legs and hands if you put it in a smaller vehicle like mine. This is a fairly flat speaker that fits snugly to the mounting surface.
