My Synology NAS had a defective fan. It worked fine, but when it was turned off it wouldn't start again. I traced it to a fan. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the original replacement was nowhere in stock with a reasonable delivery time, so I bought this one. Works great (I had to remove the rubber anti-vibration pads on the side of the case) and my NAS is working again. This fan seems to be the Mercedes of fans, it comes in a fancy package with tons of adapters and extensions so it's a bit of a waste of time for my NAS but who cares.
