We bought a $4,000+ Tempur-pedic mattress 2 years ago and never put a base on it because of our 3 year old daughter. We felt that if we had a bed base when she slept with us, she may fall and injure herself so it stayed on the carpet since we bought it. The bed felt great and provided us a restful sleep and improved my wife's back pain. Fast forward to Black Friday, my wife and I are blessed that she's pregnant and in her 3rd trimester.
