Works very well. The only thing I didn't like was that it tips over because the weight of the phone is pulling the vent down, but there's no real solution to this problem and the radio supports it anyway. I bought it for a rental and it has been so great for all my driving needs! I'm not sure if the sides are stretched. I show it in the picture but have never used it. It was much easier to just press the phone against the spring and release. Pulling out the sides would be another step, and I'm not sure a thicker phone wouldn't go without extensions, but my Galaxy S8 with a case worked great without them. highly recommended.
