Review on 🪖 9milelake WWII German Elite WH Army M35 M1935 Steel Helmet Stahlhelm (Black) by Steve Atchley

Magnificent replica of the legendary helm

What do I know about authenticity? Nearly nothing. If there was one thing the Germans were good at, it was providing their military with uniforms that looked good. The M35 Stahlhelm is no exception. This is an example that was taken into account when developing our modern combat helmets. The PASGT and MICH helmets clearly took a page out of the Stahlhelm book. Very unusual current protection design. It also causes controversy. I've always liked the look and design of the Stahlhelm. Like the French-style cap worn by Union and Confederate soldiers during the American Civil War, it has always fascinated me. The Germans might be prone to giddiness, but they did it in style. I bought this as a prop for a number of books I am writing and it more than serves the purpose. An intimidating example of a helmet, it's well built. The liner is adjustable. I have worn it, and it seems to me that a Stahlhelm should wear it. The only real complaint I have is that the chin strap is quite stiff, new but like any leather it will soften with use, wear and oil absorption. After 2 years of ownership mine still looks and feels great.
