Review on ๐Ÿถ Hurtta Summit Parka Dog Winter Coat: The Ultimate Winter Wear for Your Canine Companion by Bianca Campbell

Californian (weak) dog admitted!

Like many other reviewers, I initially rejected the price. But I have bought many (3) waterproof/warmer jackets for my dog and while they are fine for mild weather/backyard lounging, all 3 have shortcomings. Most dog coats only cover the undercarriage with 2 straps held together with velcro and the straps are not wide enough to protect the underbelly from rain/cold. The parka arrived just in time for a heavy downpour (thanks Revain!), it was used within 12 hours of arrival. This kept our dog nice and dry most of the time which meant I only had to wipe her head and 4 feet. She is a pointer mix and has a deep chest of 29 inches and a back length of about 20 inches. She's not really frail because she LOVES being outside in the rain (she's a rescue dog with very keen hunting instincts). However, she has no undercoat and her lower abdomen is pretty bare lol. I ordered size 22 and it fits her perfectly, closes much better than her other jackets and stays in place compared to her other jackets. Her neck circumference is only about 17 inches, so the adjustable neckline is very comfortable. The buckle will appear upside down as the adjustable end of the strap is pointing towards the underside of the strap/buckle. This makes it quite difficult to tighten the strap once the buckle is in place. However, this is a small thing that, in my opinion, does not detract from the quality of the product. However, I don't use leg straps because I feel like they are too close to her urinating/pooping - she has a tight butt. Overall, this product is worth the money for me - thumbs up! don't know how to rotate the picture sideways.)
