Works, but beware of fins.
Works very well but hard to scale the slats. The ribs are sucked in between the blade and the housing and the engine stops. Sometimes withdrawing is so hard that you have to change direction. I'll try removing the protection and see if it works better. I'm still covered in fish slime after a long day of fishing. If that doesn't work, I cut off the fins first. They are difficult to clean. I want the guard to take off without tools.
