Multi-channel split screen is great! I mainly use it for sports purposes to be able to watch a few games but this year it was also useful for seeing election day/week coverage. I have multiple Tivo Minis, so it's easy for me to set up multiple channels and/or recorded shows and place them on the right part of the screen. I have found that in the vast majority of cases I only use two modes. It's either a 4-way split with a screen in each corner in the normal aspect ratio, or a 4-way split with a 2nd/3rd. Center top/bottom screen in normal aspect ratio and 1st/4th Screen inside high left/right columns (since they're stretched vertically and not visible, I just disable those two screens) and this becomes my favorite two-page split view. Sometimes I switch to full screen mode, but when I'm only using one screen I usually just switch to typing with a regular Tivo as the full screen view doesn't appear as sharp and full resolution. . I'm not sure if it's the device itself or my cables and settings, but for my use case, full screen mode isn't that important to me. All other possible views seem compromised to me as they compress the aspect ratio either vertically or horizontally for some screens so I don't normally use them. Depending on your use case, they can be useful.
