Unlike cheaper switches, this one switches instantly with no issues. It also produces split screen and PiP for 2 inputs. I'm using this to switch two camcorders to one HDMI recorder for realtime editing with a 9" HD monitor. Note, however, that you must select the correct input format from the input menu. Ready to use All I had to do was plug in the power, connect the HDMI cables and change the channel to the appropriate input. I use 4 cameras so I have 4 split screens. One of the screens is smaller than the others, but that might be a camera setup I need to look at. The overall quality of the device is good, it feels solid and gives a pretty good picture. However, the remote control left a lot to be desired.
