Wow. This was a 15 minute installation and I’m so happy with the outcome. As recommended, I watched two short YouTube tutorials by searching "BMW X5 door handle”. Both videos used door panel prying tools, which I did not have, so I used a wide flathead screwdriver instead (the scuff marks on the leather handle were there before installation and were not caused from the screwdriver). The outer leather panel popped off in about 30 seconds. Be careful as to not bend the plastic when prying the outer panel off. I then removed 3 screws using T20 & T10 bits, which I already had, and the panel inner panel was off. The replacement panel fit like a glove and the leather shell popped right back into place.Note: This was the first time I have ever attempted to do work on a vehicle, but I am somewhat handy. Just make sure you have the proper tools (T10 & T20 bits and a prying tool) and it will be a very fast and simple installation.
