I bought this racket for my wife to start playing pickleball. I started a year ago and bought another Autosan paddle model. I've been using the paddle for about 12 months with no problems. I've tried several other blades that cost twice as much and don't seem to work any better. So I figured this would be a good tree for him, the paddle is light and weighs 7.2 ounces. The surface is smooth in the middle and finely structured on the outside. Because it's a lightweight racquet, you'll need to hit the ball a little harder on serve. This works well for soft play in the kitchen. A light color with a white center helps keep track of where the ball hits the racquet. I've only been playing for a year but I would recommend any racquet.
