Review on Men'S Terramar Silkskins 6-Inch Boxer Briefs For Enhanced Comfort And Durability by Deron Altman

Pretty good so far: my feedback

First pair of these for me. Been looking at good alternatives to Ex-Officio give-n-go boxer briefs. EOs have been good for me in that they’ve been durable, can wear backpacking for multi day trip if needed, which drying, odor resistant. They do pill a little but it seems to have stopped and they are holding up.So for this product (not here to review EO): haven’t had for long but the modal fabric seems to be more woven and cotton like than the poly/spandex of their standard line (which I also like but have more of a rash guard textile feel and look). Odd to me that the Silkskins don’t mention the brand Terramar anywhere on the item or labeling. Is this trying to distance itself from that brand? The feel is nice, the fit is perhaps a little more snug compared to other terramar boxer briefs, but not substantial. Horizontal fly is interesting, not sure it’s an improvement at this point.I’ve been a regular fit cotton boxer wearer for the most part until recently unless traveling or backpacking, for which I’ll wear boxer briefs, but lately I’ve come to like the fit of some better boxer briefs and especially like that I can use them for travel with multi day use, activities such as skiiing or cycling and they are quick wash/quick drying. I hang these out to dry to maximize lifespan. I’ve also found I enjoy the boxer briefs as an alternative to running shorts with liners or swim suite.TBD for this; durability with strenuous activity (bike/spin rides lasting 1 hour plus, running 4-10 miles typically)?Price and quality is main draw at this point. In the past I’ve been able to find EO for $30 or less for a 3 pack, but haven’t seen that price for awhile and these come in at a little over $10/boxer to around $5 for the standard boxer brief 3 pack. If these hold up, I’ll probably keep coming back for more when needed.

Pros
  • Breathable fabric that keeps you cool even in hot weather
Cons
  • They can be difficult to adjust throughout the day.
