This dog warmer is perfect for my application. When installed in my converted dog house (Suncast BMS4900D Glidetop Slide Lid Shed) it keeps the inside temp about 11-16 degrees warmer than the outside temp on the LOW setting. I haven't tested it on medium or high settings yet, mainly because it hasn't gotten very cold yet. For example, last night it was 42 degrees outside (California weather), my wireless temp sensor that I installed in the kennel away from the heater showed a hot 58 degrees. It should be noted that this heater was rated for a 32 cu ft kennel; However, my kennel has a volume of 140 cubic feet, four times that.
