Update: If you press both switches at the same time, only one changes. wait a second, then the other will answer the switch. annoying to say the least. I've moved them to switches that I don't use very often. Other products do the same job better (Qubino Flush 2 Relay - ZMNHBD) ---- I installed a few of these and everything seemed fine at first. I was able to control the light with Home Assistant and from the switch. Then I realized that the Z-Wave component doesn't update when I move the switch and is therefore out of sync. I think this turned out to be a quirk of my setup, but for everyone using Home Assistant and zwavejs2mqtt I had to add the root node to the group mappings for EP1 and EP2 to get notifications about updates. now everything is great!
