I wanted something to reduce gas usage because I have a house from the 50's and most of the heating is in the middle of the house and not me don't really go to my home office. Since I work from home, I turn the heating on and off throughout the day. This heater puts out just the right amount of heat and I love it, the handle allows me to place it on the floor or on the table depending on which part of me gets cold. The only feature I would like to have is the tilt function. I physically move it up and down because it heats up, but my midsection doesn't get much heat and I don't have a situation where I can place it halfway off the ground. What I really like is the visual temperature display. The light turns blue for a fan, bright red for low heat, and bright red for high heat. It didn't need a thought. Switch on, turn the knob, get warm! It's about as loud as a small fan or a little less.
