Base or anything else will not hold 110 lbs. Read the entire description. Holds, just really want the magnet to be a little stronger. The display is accurate enough for clocking. You get what you pay for, remember, and that's true in this case, but I knew what was going on. It was nice to have a suitcase so it wasn't covered in dust and oil.
