Review on 🌍 Enhanced DeLorme Earthmate PN-60 Portable GPS Navigator - An Ultimate Navigation Companion by Pamela Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great device once you learn how to use it

1. The PN-60 is an incredible device that can do so much, reveals so much. The TOPO 9 software increases this performance. When you pay $30 for an annual map subscription, the USGS quads and black and white and color antennas available for the US, Canada and Mexico are truly exceptional. The downside is ease of use - it takes patience to learn everything. That's not meant to be a criticism - what can do so much must be a bit difficult to learn. On the plus side, if you learn how to use specific features that you need, it will reward you handsomely. I've walked it around the city I live in for weeks practicing the different functions and then downloading everything I've done onto my computer and using TOPO 9 to study and process information. TOPO 9 is unrelated to other software I've used and it's hard to get the hang of, but like the device it's very powerful and once you start using it you'll be amazed at what you can do with it be able. . When I did what I really wanted to do, I felt comfortable with the device, the worst part of the learning curve was behind me, and I downloaded a massive amount of maps from the Delorme library. I have been very happy using it in the field and have found great practical use.4. One issue is battery life: if you're going to be working all day, be sure to bring a fully-charged spare battery. A bigger screen would be nice, but then you would have to carry two fully charged spare devices.5. I have contacted Delorme Technical Support about some issues. They were very helpful and attentive.
