Not as described

When ordering a scope it is important that the description and photos are accurate. Here are two points that we thought should have been in the description. The blue indicator is in the lighter recess and is therefore only visible when nothing is plugged into the socket. The switch that controls the 12 volt recess must also be in the "on" position for the blue light to work. So if you want the blue light to help locate the slot in the dark, the switch that controls the cigarette lighter slot needs to be in the "on" position. Another point concerns the voltage measurement. One of the reasons, why we ordered this particular item was because to get a "red" voltage indicator, not yellow. Amber was associated with "old". design and we have a yellow display. While we found this model to be solid, as the new design dictated, we wanted the voltage indicator to be red in color to match the other displays in our unit. In addition, the voltage indicator "flashes" about once per second when the voltage of the car battery is below 12 volts. I did not find this fact in any advertised description. It only flashes when the car engine is not running and the car battery voltage is below 12 volts. For example, this can happen if you try to sleep in a car at night with the engine off. It doesn't blink when the car engine is running because the alternator puts out more than 12 volts to charge the battery. In our opinion it should be in the written description. We evaluated the sellers' desire to improve this model based on customer feedback, as shown in the model comparison table in the written description. We could have paid a few bucks less to get a similar model, but I wanted our business to go to a seller who listened to the buyer. We really wanted the "red" voltage indicator to be shown and described in the description of the new model. Since we got amber instead of red, we subtracted the star from five to four. so that the "red" voltage indicator is shown and described in the description of the new model.
