I have reviewed many rotary hammers and read many (mostly bad) reviews. This one stands out because there were no bad reviews. I took a risk and bought it. I was able to drill 4 holes 3" deep and 3/8 diameter in 40 year old concrete in about 10-15 minutes. It cuts through concrete like butter. I worked slowly due to lack of experience, but I could probably get the job done in half the time. This is a real hammer drill, not a cheap drill. The engine didn't get warm. It's designed to drill into concrete, and baby it does just that. You get what you pay for. It costs more than cheap alternatives, but it doesn't burn or break like cheap ones. I am delighted to add my five star rating to the growing list. This exercise deserves it.
