I was too excited when I stumbled across this and completely forgot that Peak Design tried the same thing and ran into the same issue. There are just too many differences in how Manfrotto designs bases to grip 200PL plates. I'm sure it works for some of them, but I only got a partially useful result. Here's what I tried: Standard Adapter RC2 - Loose, slides with little effort Manfrotto 390RC - Loose, free to move Manfrotto 3437 3D Magnesium Head - Tight when perfectly centered, free and free to move, otherwise Manfrotto 3030 Triangle Head - Loose, more free to move Manfrotto 128RC video head - loose, almost freely movable. Many have recent updated versions that don't seem to have changed much, so I doubt it will work for them either. Otherwise the screw can be tightened by hand and the plate holds well to the camera. Goes great with the few Arca-Swiss pieces I have. Looks well made and sits flat too which is VERY nice meaning no Arca style locking pins but there are four strap loops so some fall protection is still possible.
