I have been climbing over baby gates for years. I use them to section off spaces to keep my dogs separated or out of certain spaces that I do not want them in. This item takes a little concentration and patience to put together but the result is AMAZING!Once installed it is very secure. My 80 pound German Shepherd‘s cannot push it over if they jump on it. Because of the vertical design of the bars they also cannot climb. I have not noticed any damage to the walls from the pressure screws that hold it in place.The latch to open and close the gate is secure as long as you have the gate positioned correctly and the screws tight enough to the wall. I do own another gate in this style that simply has a trigger thumb latch that you pull to open but this one you have to pull the trigger thumb latch and slightly lift the gate. So that gives a double protection against smart toddlers!I’m actually ordering another one today! Well worth the money!
