Review on ๐Ÿ”ง 2021 Autel Scanner MaxiCOM MK808: Advanced OBD2 Car Diagnostic Scanner with 25+ Maintenance Functions and Full System Diagnosis by Sean House

Great feature set, best code readers and scan tools

I need work on my 2002 Toyota Tundra and a couple of Kia's. My old Actron 9670 has served me well, but it was missing many of the features I need to diagnose Kia, mainly the SRS and ABS systems. The Autel mk808 is a powerful tool, but remember you need to read the manual (the more the merrier) to understand how this scanner works. Some functions are not as intuitive as in less powerful scanners. Registration and software updates were quick and hassle-free. I thought about getting a bi-directional scanner but decided not to buy more scanners than I really need as an advanced DYI mechanic. I have no problem upgrading to a more advanced Autel scanner if needed, I like the overall design and software GUI that Autel uses and I think my808 is a great idea for the money spent. UPDATE: The defective brake circuit code has now been fixed. The scanner appears to have LED bulbs fitted and Kia uses ground for the brake circuit through the brake light bulbs. The bulbs have been replaced with standard bulbs and the cruise control and traction control now work great. My old scanner didn't pull the brake circuit code, which helped me find the problem. With the Autel MK808 I was actually able to solve a problem that had been bugging me for over a year.
