I told them about the problem and they sent new cartridges the same day, they didn't have to send proof of purchase (but I said I had a record from Revain of what I did). When I received them, things got a little worse. To access the cartridges, you must remove the handle and cover. The first Kohler rep I called wanted me to twist the hood independently of the knob to unbolt it. When I told her that the lid always moved with the handle, she insisted that Kohler never made a moving-lid faucet. Well guess what, it does! And to remove the handle you need a 2.5mm Allen key and the screw is on the back where it is not visible (for aesthetic reasons, of course). Turns out they factory adjusted these set screws with blue Loctite AND I swear with an impact wrench set to max. I just managed to loosen one but the other broke the set screw. Another call to Kohler found a solution - hammer "up" on the handle until it comes loose! They sent a replacement handle, cover and set screw. Everything works fine again.
