Helps against cigarette/devil's lettuce smell

First of all I am very impressed with how well this curtain is able to keep the temperature in the room. When you go through it, you immediately feel the difference from one room to another. However, that's not why I bought it. I live with two other people who smoke daily and I was at a loss as to how to keep the ever present smoke and odor from entering my room. This curtain combined with a draft limiter at the base of my door was the solution. Granted, I had it not long ago (so I can't comment on product durability), but for $18 I feel like I've gotten my money's worth. The curtain is true to size. It goes without saying, but if you're placing this over a door (like I did) you'll want the curtain to be taller than the door; In other words, before you buy, measure the FRAME of your door, not the door itself, as that's where you'll be installing the curtain). Luckily it's fairly easy to install, but I STRONGLY recommend that you have a second person help you install it as accurately as possible because once you stick it to the wall the velcro pretty much stays there. Essentially, you get a chance at it. The adhesive sticks very strongly to the wall, so pulling hard to change position will damage it or, well, compromise its stickiness. Position it at the correct height so that it has a small gap at the bottom so it closes properly when someone walks by. Otherwise the curtain will drag across the floor. When I installed my curtain I left too much gap at the bottom (so I recommend having someone else help) but, big gap or not, I still STRONGLY recommend buying a draft limiter for your door as it only a limited number can be A curtain. Heed my warning and don't be an idiot like me - I bought another one of these curtains (the packaging was identical so I guess they are all made in the same Chinese factory regardless of the brand) and didn't place it with the one other side of my bedroom door. There is just enough tape in the pack to stick along the edge of the curtain. No longer. So in frustration I threw the whole thing away. Make sure you place it on the opposite side of where your door swings open so the door can open and close freely. That's all. If you are trying to keep temperatures and odors out of the house (or even indoors), I think this product is your answer. If you want to go further, you might consider an air purifier and an Ozium spray if the smoke/odor enters the room through the curtain. So far, however, it has not emerged almost entirely. Oh, I should add that the curtain hangs a bit lower at the top center (see picture). The last one I bought was the same so it's not a product defect. Just a little annoying if you're a bit obsessive and like straight, straight lines.
