Very happy to have found a Welding Cable/Wire for Car Audio. Welding cables/wires are essentially the same but at a much better price. An equivalent oxygen-free copper car audio cable costs $10-$15 more, and that's true of cheaper brands. $40-$50 more if it says "Rockford Fosgate". So yes, it is very important as far as I understand. The cable is heavy and feels like it's full of lead, but it's very flexible and easy to work with. I upgraded my CCA 4 AWG amp power cable to this OFC cable and immediately heard the difference. Sounds "cleaner" for lack of a better term. Much fuller and richer bass now, and everything else stays the same. Now that I know what the difference is I upgrade ALL my car audio cables to OFC and never look back (unless I'm broke lol).
