Surprisingly, it has a rubber grommet attached that slips over a 3" pipe or inserts into a 4" pipe. Last year I raised another brand, when there was a lot of pressure, it smelled like petrol. And the other one broke and I couldn't get rid of the gas smell from the basement, it's sewer gas. I put it on yesterday, went down to the basement this morning, it smells fresh and clean, no sewer gas. I am very happy that this product is worth the money. I have attached a photo of Studor. but it doesn't work for competitors
