I urgently need a keyboard for my iPad, but don't want to pay premium prices. This keyboard is perfect! I can use it on my knees from almost any angle. It has a mouse pad that I can use for gestures. It has buttons for things like play/pause, volume up and down, and lighting, but what I like best is that I can rotate and fold the lid so my iPad faces me and the buttons are hidden. I don't need to remove the device or case to use it as a tablet. This is exactly what I was looking for. Yes it's plastic and it adds weight and adds a bit of weight to the iPad, but the iPad is closed on all sides except for the perfect little cutout for my Apple Pencil so it can rest/charge on top of the device as it was intended. And there's a pen holder so it doesn't get lost when I have to put it in my bag. The case fits like a glove and has USB-C charging too. I bought it two months ago and charged it once! I highly recommend it.
