Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Dorman 14044 Manual Transmission Shift Cable Bushing, Black - Fits Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth Models by Aaron Schultz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

a blunt screwdriver is no problem and will snap onto pin

Purchased for a 1996 Dodge Neon with 5 speed manual transmission. Only a small bushing was needed. The pin it sits on is a protrusion. no hope of putting a clamp on this pup. The sleeve went easily into the (white) mount with a small, blunt screwdriver and snapped onto the pin. I've been driving without a hub for a year now. The car shifted well, but I had to be careful with reverse. With almost an inch in play you can do this. Shifting from 1st to 5th gear has become firmer/softer and reverse gear is less sensitive. The car has driven just over 1,000 miles since the hub was installed and it has not slipped off the footpeg. It looks like a new house. The part was $5 cheaper than the local auto parts store.
