Poor quality shims caused brake failure

I installed this on a half ton Silverado about 21 months ago and just had one of the included aluminum shims crack at the stop sign resulting in the pedal assembly failing more worked ground making it very difficult for my truck to stop. If it had been an emergency stop involving a small car, motorcycle, or pedestrian, someone would likely have died. Performance" will include lousy aluminum shims instead of the copper shims the OEM uses, but I installed them anyway. I think I should have listened to my intuition. I called Edelbrock to complain and the gentleman seemed to have the being pretty indifferent to the whole thing. He gave me an email address to send a written complaint to, which I did. I would avoid those brake hoses if they skimped on something as important as face seal material, who knows, what other materials would they save on? Good. In the photo a broken aluminum disc (left) and an old copper disc from the factory (right) UPDATE: After a phone call and email to Edelbrock about this issue I still have nothing heard from them.I would get better customer support from Autozone and that's not saying much.Save your money guys.
